6th Annual Forsyth Georgia Ham Tailgate and Swap Meet May 9, 2026 Monroe County Recreational Center 100 Dan Pitts Drive Forsyth, Georgia 31029
VE Exams for all license classes will be available at the tailgate. Exams start at 10:30am and reservations are required. You must have an FRN number to test. Please contact Charles Kight (AI4UN) directly at cekight3@yahoo.com by the end of the day on May 5th for a reservation. There will be no exam fee, but seating is very limited so reserve your spot early. |

MCARS Weekend Success! What a fantastic weekend for MCARS! Despite the threat of an ice storm, our team showed up, powered through, and made it a huge success. Total Contacts = 235 Total Points = 1,175 50 ARRL sections 42 U.S. states & Canadian provinces 5 bands 6 operators

?? Repeater Status Update ?? September 14th. The 145.410 repeater is offline until it gets relocated to its new home at New Providence Baptist Church in Smarr. The church property is located about five miles WNW of the current site and offers a higher elevation, which should improve coverage. We met with the church leadership recently, and we now have tentative approval to proceed. |

The Cherry Blossom Special Event Station Uploaded 4/7/2025 Ed Campbell KD4SMQ made 65 contacts at The Cherry Blossom Special Event Station on Saturday March 22nd at the EMA Bunker in downtown Macon using the call W4BKM. He has received 4 certificate requests so far. Thanks to Scott Dooley KK4CS and Brian Faulds KQ4OUY for their help with this successful event. |

New Club Meeting Date Uploaded 3/1/2025 The new meeting date is the 2nd Tuesday of the month. The Macon Amateur Radio Club is merging with MCARS. W5YI will now be providing testing for MCARS. In order to accommodate both clubs and testing, we have moved the meeting night from the 2nd Monday to the 2nd Tuesday 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Location will still be: Monroe County Fire Station #14 2106 Dames Ferry Road Forsyth GA 31029

2025 Winter Field Day Results Winter Field Day was held at the Monroe County Recreational Center Pavilion #3 located at 100 Dan Pitts Drive in Forsyth GA. 239 contacts were made on SSB. We worked 4 bands. No digital contacts were made. Kenny and Corbett brought trailers and we set up around the pavilion. We had two dipoles and a vertical antenna set up. |
